Punjab government decides to tighten lockdown due to increase in corona cases

LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to impose a three-day severe lockdown due to the increase in corona virus cases. According to details, lockdowns across Punjab, including Lahore, were eased following the situation caused by the corona virus. After which all the markets were opened. However, crowds of people were seen in the bazaars and markets and SOPs were blown up.
Due to non-seriousness of the people regarding Corona, the Punjab government has decided to impose severe lockdown 3 days a week. According to Home Department officials, there will be strict lockdown on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For which the preparation of SOPs has been started. The Home Department has taken the position that business leaders will be forced to implement SOPs.

While discussions are also being held with the federation in this regard. Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has also expressed his displeasure over the rush in the markets. He said that traders have shown irresponsibility. Referring to the rush of people in the bazaars, Mian Aslam Iqbal said, "We are going back to the lockdown. If the business community does not follow the SOPs, I will go to the meeting and tell them to stop everything." ۔
