Firdous Ashiq Awan has been replaced by Lt. Gen. (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa as Special Assistant for Information, Senator Shibli Faraz as the new Information Minister. The Federal Government of Pakistan has removed Information and Broadcasting Advisor Firdous Ashiq Awan from his post and appointed former Army Spokesman Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa to the post. Senator Shibli Faraz has been appointed Minister for Information and Broadcasting. The government issued a notification in this regard on Monday. Accordingly, Firdous Ashiq Awan has been ordered to be removed from his post immediately. Shibli Faraz is the Quaid-e-Awan in the Senate and is considered a key leader of the ruling PTI.
