Plane crash, PIA's decision to change flight operations control system
The modern system will help save planes from accidents, while the flight operations control system will be taken from Turkey, sources said.
Karachi (May 26, 2020): PIA has decided to change the flight operations control system after a plane crash in Karachi two days before Eid. In this regard, it has been said that the modern system will help to save the planes from accidents while the flight operations control system will be taken from Turkey. However, we have further stated that with the modern system, PIA's service delivery will be world class and in the future, travel will be easier as well as safer.
It should be noted that Pakistan's national airline PIA has been the victim of accidents most of the time, after which the Pakistani people have been criticized in various places. Another similar accident took place in Karachi two days before Eid, where a PIA passenger plane from Lahore to Karachi crashed.
It should be noted that PIA flight PK8303 crashed near Karachi Airport two days before Eid at around 2:15 pm.
The Airbus had 107 people on board, including 99 passengers and eight crew members. The Airbus 320 left Lahore Airport for Karachi at 1:10 p.m. The PIA flight had reached Karachi from Lahore when the plane crashed before landing. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Korangi had confirmed that no resident of Model Colony Jinnah Bagh was killed.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the plane crashed in Block A and Arm of Model Colony Jinnah Garden, which damaged 19 houses and completely burnt two of them. After this incident, mourning was being observed in the homes of the martyrs on the days of Eid in which the whole of Pakistan was with them. While Pakistanis were expressing their condolences to the families of the martyrs, the PIA was also being sharply criticized. Following this criticism, the PIA has now decided to change the flight operations control system. It is said that the modern system will help to protect the planes from accidents, while the flight operations control system will be taken from Turkey.
