Police say the Tablighi gathering, which began March 3, was not abolished even when the government announced March 24 to impose a lockdown.

The outbreak gathering is said to be responsible for spreading corona to more than a thousand people in 17 states across the country, believed to have been spread by participants from outside countries at the virus gathering.

Tablighi Jamaat and its leader Saad Kandhalavi have denied the allegations.

Delhi police say they will not be able to apply for bail because of the massive allegations leveled at Saad Kandhalavi.
The case has been filed at a time when Saad Kundhalvi is living in isolation in a bid to protect against the virus.

Police say that although they were given two notices by the authorities, they continued to gather in a mosque in Delhi's Nizamuddin area.

On the other hand, the Tablighi Jamaat is of the view that immediately after the announcement of a nationwide one-day curfew by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 22, he called for all the attendees to return to their homes.

Organizers of the gathering say that many had gone back but many were trapped there because the next day different states started closing their borders and the country was locked down two days later and Buses and trains stopped running.

The mosque also has living rooms that can accommodate hundreds of people.انڈیا
The organizers also say that they had informed the police about the situation and, with the full support of the medical staff, also helped them to visit the mosque and inspect the place.
